Description: Aloe vera is a succulent plant species of the genus Aloe. Having many medicinal uses, Aloe is an evergreen perennial that prefers a bright, sunny place otherwise it will go dormant and stop growing. Water the plant heavily about once every two weeks, waiting until the soil dries out fully. Being a desert species, keeping the dirt moist will cause the roots to rot. Limp or brown leaves also signal you've overdone the H20.

Aloe for health

Topically, Aloe Vera helps heal burns due to its soothing, moisturising and cooling properties. Aloe has also been used to help clear acne.
